What Do I Do If My Student Is Struggling Academically? |
1. Contact his/her teacher. Communication via email usually yields the fastest response. Links to staff email and phone extensions are available on the school website at www.molallariv.k12.or.us. Click on the Schools heading and select Molalla High School. Then, click on Staff List. 2. Attend Parent/Teacher Conferences. Conferences are held each trimester and are a great time to voice concerns and receive feedback on your child’s performance. 3. Monitor your child’s daily attendance and grades online through the Parent Assist Program. Contact Ginger Fischer at ginger.fischer@molallariv.k12.or.us or (503) 829-2355 Ex. 5104. 4. Make an appointment with your student’s counselor. Counselors often serve as liaisons between teachers and students. Counselors can also address social/emotional issues that may be negatively affecting learning. |
